Heather’s House, Aid for Women’s residential program, provides a safe and supportive place to call home for young women who are pregnant, parenting, or making an adoption plan. The goal of Heather’s House is to build up self-sufficient women, capable of providing for themselves and their child(ren). Residents have the opportunity to develop many important life skills while pursuing educational and career goals. Programming includes pregnancy support, one-on-one mentoring, life skills classes, parenting training, educational assistance, employment assistance, spiritual growth, and follow-up services.
Heather’s House helps with tuition, transportation, childcare, and other needs that arise. Each mother has a mentor and receives counseling to establish goals within the program.
