Shining Light Homes meets the immediate needs of isolated 18 to 25-year-old women who are pregnant or mothers with toddler-age children that are experiencing difficult times. Many of them find themselves homeless either during their pregnancy or just afterward. These young women have little support from their family or the father of the baby and struggle to acquire basic needs.
The goal of Shining Light Homes is to be an Advocate for struggling single mothers. We connect them to available resources and provide education, counseling, goal setting, and other life skills that will help these young mothers become self-sufficient and productive citizens in their community. It is our desire to move these women from homelessness to a home of their own.
